Broomfield Wood Flooring is a wood flooring business serving Broomfield, CO, with more than 20 years spent refinishing, repairing and installing hardwood floors. We work in single-family houses, townhomes and condominiums, on everything from a single squeaking board to a whole house of new wood and the stairs that connect it.
What we have learned over those years is that most floor problems have a reason, and the reason is usually more useful than the symptom. So we measure, test and explain before we recommend anything, and we would rather tell you a floor can be saved than sell you one you do not need.
Our Approach

We start with the house around the floor. Gaps that open every winter are checked with a moisture meter against the season they appeared in, and nobody fills a seam that will close again by summer. Before a new floor goes down, we talk through the humidity in your home, because a heated Front Range house is far drier in winter than the boards were when they arrived. Basements are identified one by one as slab on grade, structural wood or structural concrete, and engineered wood goes where solid wood does not belong below grade.
When something goes wrong, we look for the cause. Water from a burst pipe, a washer, a supply line or a roof is traced, dried and measured before any board is replaced, with each room documented for your adjuster. Floors in homes that came through a wildfire are assessed for cleaning or refinishing before anyone assumes they are lost. Cracks, squeaks and popping boards are followed to their source rather than filled and hidden.
We also try to keep good wood in place. Site-finished oak in houses from the 1990s through the 2010s is checked for the wood left above the tongue, and sanded and refinished when it can be, instead of torn out. Where carpet or builder-grade flooring is coming out of a master-planned home, we carry the new wood through the stairs and landings, quoting each tread separately and checking that a new landing floor keeps the riser heights even.
The smaller details matter too. We read your HOA or metro district documents before work starts, since any rule about interior flooring comes from them. In a home built before 1978, we confirm the build year and look at painted surfaces before sanding. And when it is time to choose a color, stain samples go down on your own floor, in your own light, so you decide with the real thing in front of you.
